Fast food chicken chain Chick-fil-A is celebrating...cows?
That's right. Dress up like a cow from head to toe and show up any Chick-fil-A location today, July 10, and you'll score a free combo meal (breakfast, lunch or dinner).
The restaurant says if you can't get fully suited in cow gear, even if you wear a shirt with black spots or any other cow-spotted item, you'll still get a free entree. There's a free costume kit on Chick-fil-A's Web site if you lack artistic skills. And if you're feeling particularly proud of your costume, you can enter the photo contests -- there's one for kids and another for adults .
Now in its fifth year, Cow Appreciation Day is part of Chick-fil-A's marketing campaign "Eat Mor Chikin," which aims to convert beef eaters into chicken fans.
In May, KFC aimed to make its customers fans of its new grilled chicken by handing out coupons for free meals. But the promotion ran into problems when the large turnout overwhelmed chains nationwide .
