MYFOX NEW YORK STAFF REPORT
MYFOXNY.COM - The New Jersey State Police has canceled an AMBER Alert for a missing toddler from Elizabeth.
Earlier, police said Brett M. Tonge, 25, took his son, Adrian Tonge, 2, from Westfield Avenue at about 2:14 p.m. on Friday. The elder Tonge does not have custody of the boy.
Police said that Brett Tonge took the child after a fight with the boy's mother. Authorities said that he has history of violence and drug use and had threatened to harm the boy.
Someone dropped off Adrian with a relative in Brooklyn. But Brett Tonge is still at large.
