MYFOXNY.COM - The NYPD is warning residents in Midtown West in Manhattan to be on the look out for a burglar who is breaking into apartments by pushing in air conditioning units or simply opening unlocked windows.
Cops say the crimes have happened between West 43rd and West 53rd Streets between Eighth and Tenth Avenues.
At a neighborhood block meeting, one of the victims -- who didn't want to be identified -- shared her story with a group of about 25 residents to encourage them to take precautions.

The NYPD is encouraging residents to also secure air conditioning units to the window opening to prevent from being pushed in or pulled out.
