MYFOXNY.COM - Dr. Dimitrios Kostopoulos, founder of Hands-On Physical Therapy, says he will lead his staff of physical therapists to the HIP offices in New York City to protest an impending 20 percent reduction in reimbursement rates that is set to take effect May 1.

"At a time when our country goes through very difficult financial times, when businesses are closing down and people are losing their jobs, to have HIP/EMBLEM CEO Anthony Watchon doubling his salary to $4.79 million while cutting down the reimbursement to physical therapy by 20 percent is an absolute disgrace," Kostopoulos said.
HIP responded by saying that the old reimbursement rate of $55 was "well above the industry norm" and that the new rate of $45 is "in line with patterns in the industry."
