MYFOXNY.COM - New York Archbishop Timothy Dolan said Wednesday he'll challenge any effort to legalize gay marriage in New York.
Dolan made the remarks at a news conference Wednesday just hours before he became New York's next Roman Catholic leader.
Gov. David Paterson is expected to propose a gay marriage bill Thursday.

Paterson attended Dolan's installation Mass at St. Patrick's Cathedral.
Dolan, 59, has said one of his priorities is to draw more men to the priesthood. He also will try to persuade alienated Catholics to return to the church.
Fox 5 spoke to political experts who believe any bill to legalize gay marriage will not pass the state Senate.
Gays and lesbians can already marry across the border in Connecticut, Massachusetts and, later this year, Vermont.
