He has a key to New York City, he's been on David Letterman's show and now hero pilot Chesley Sullenberger received another uniquely New York honor on Saturday.
He threw out the ceremonial first pitch at the new Yankee Stadium.
Sullenberger landed Flight 1549 in the Hudson River back in January -- saving everyone on board. He said he has been a Yankee fan ever since he was a kid.
His pitching wasn't as good as his piloting. The toss was a bit outside – but no one complained.
Sullenberger’s presence may have been a good luck charm because the Yankees trounced the Cubs 10-1.
