Police: Man Molesting Boys in Gramercy

MYFOXNY.COM - Police in Manhattan are looking for a man who has been sexually molesting adolescent boys in the Gramercy Park area, the NYPD said Thursday.

The suspect has struck at least five times since September, police said. In each case, he grabbed the boy's buttocks from behind and then ran away. In one case, the man also kissed a boy on the cheek.

Detectives describe the man as in his 20s or 30s, about 5-foot-5, with a medium build and black hair (see sketch).

Incident #1: Monday, September 8, 2008 at approximately 15:30; on 2 Avenue between East 21 Street and East 22 Street; victim: male/11.

Incident #2: Friday, November 14, 2008 at approximately 08:00; at the corner of East 21 Street and 3 Avenue; victim: male/12.

Incident #3: Thursday, November 20, 2008 at approximately 08:00; at the corner of East 24 Street and 3 Avenue; victim: male/12.

Incident #4: Wednesday, February 4, 2009 at approximately 15:45; on 2 Avenue between East 20 and East 21 Street; victim: male/13.

Incident #5: Thursday, February 5, 2009 at approximately 15:10; at the corner of 2 Avenue and East 22 Street; victim: male/15.

The suspect is described as male/Hispanic/20s to 30s, approximately 155 lbs., 5'5" tall. He is has a medium build, with black hair and a light scar on the upper right side of his forehead. He was also described as wearing an army green North Face bubble jacket.
