The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3

June 12, 2009 -- Children under age 10 may be terrified by events which unfold on a New York City subway, especially if their parents or older siblings regularly travel by subway.  Unlike violence seen in action adventure / sci fi / etc movies, the violence in "Pelham 1 2 3" hits close to home.  The subway tunnel scenes (including one in which a rat bites a policeman) drew screams at the critics screening I attended.

Rated R for violence and frequent use of the F word.
