MYFOXNY.COM - Lauren Porat and Cari Sommer co-founded Urban Interns almost a year ago to connect small business owners and busy professionals with people seeking part-time, flexible work.

BIOS OF FOUNDERS
Porat has a background in finance, M&A and strategy. She worked for eight years at IAC, the diversified new media conglomerate.
Sommer is a lawyer who worked for six years as a litigator at Bryan Cave LLP and then as Director of Business Development at Lexolution, LLC, a contract legal staffing firm.
