MYFOXNY.COM - Dan and Jennifer say from the day their beautiful daughter Miranda was born, she just didn't seem right. By 14 months not much had changed. When most babies are walking, Miranda couldn't crawl or even put weight on her legs.

Doctors couldn't agree on what was wrong. Each had a different diagnosis: cerebral palsy, mitochondrial disorder, mental retardation, neuromuscular disorder, sensory integration disorder, static encephalopathy.

Doctors offered very little hope that she'd ever be OK, but Miranda and her parents didn't give up. Eventually, an unusual treatment changed everything: hyperbaric oxygen therapy. The problem then turned into a battle with the insurance company over coverage.
