MYFOXNY.COM - For many teens, growing up means wearing braces. While some kids don't seem to mind, for others metal mouth can be teen torture. But there are options. Getting braces doesn't always mean a mouth full of metal.

Invisalign makes clear braces. Dr. Adam Goodman says Invisalign Teen works best on mild to moderate cases. Results take about the same amount of time as metal braces: 18 to 24 months.

For kids, the company will replace aligners free of charge if they are lost. They cost between $5,000 and $8,000 for top and bottom.

If your insurance company covers traditional braces, it may also pick up the tab for the Invisalign, too.
