MYFOXNY.COM - Some BlackBerry users are turning to a 12-step program to break their addiction to the mobile devices.

The creators of the program are the guys behind CrackBerry.com and the new book, CrackBerry.

Watch the video, left,  for Tech Reporter Brett Larson's interview with the authors.

Just like his readers, co-author Gary Mazo says he is an avid BlackBerry user. "I take it with me everywhere- the gym, social events... anything and everything."

So what makes the BlackBerry so addictive and more so than other smart phones?

"It's the ease of use. When you have a device that's always connected... you don't have to turn it on or off. You don't have to slide to unlock," says co-author Kevin Michaluk.

All this constant connection has lead to an unbeatable craving.

Breaking the bad habit of the BlackBerry is simple, according to the book.

When you get home drop off your BlackBerry as you drop off you keys.  Also, set ground rules: like a time limit or boundaries.  You don't need to bring it with you into the bathroom.
