Online Class Benefits

Online classes, whether offered through the school the student is enrolled in or strictly via the Internet, are getting more and more popular.

Tech Expert Brett Larson takes a closer look at the benefits. Watch the video.

Some of the benefits of taking an online course include: no travel time, flexible schedulling, and increased proficiency in Internet usage.

Brett spoke with students and teachers at Pace University in New York City about their online class program.

Dr. Jonathan Hill, Assistant Dean, says many students add online classes to their portfolios to show they "can work in an online paradigm in today's world."

Alex Quick, a student at Pace says scheduling constraints of other classes are difficult to work around, but not so with most online classes.

Brett points out that a key highlight to online learning is it prepares you for a career move while allowing you to stay in your current job.
