DENSE BREASTS & CANCER: Women with dense breasts have been known to be at an increased risk of cancer, but new research shows that risk may diminish with age. Mayo Clinic researchers followed nearly 20,000 women. They found that women with dense breasts were more like to develop cancer, but as they aged their breasts became less dense.

SICK AIRLINE PASSENGERS: A lot of people are getting sick or even dying from airplanes but it’s not being reported. This new report by USA Today looked at national records. It finds for example that about 16,000 deaths or illnesses involving airline passengers were reported in one year but far more people received medical treatment. Federal regulations require airlines to notify health officials of passenger illnesses.

DR. OZ GALA: Last night was a big night for Dr. Oz. He was honored during a star-studded gala at Chelsea Piers to benefit Healthcorp- the national movement Dr. Oz and his wife started to fight childhood obesity. As part of the program, recent college grads go into schools to teach kids about health and wellness.
