JOHN MAYER CANCELS SHOWS: John Mayer is ending his tour early and heading home. Due to an illness, the singer was forced to cancel shows in Amsterdam, Madrid and Manchester. No details on his illness were available, but he is expected to make a full recovery.
GARY COLEMAN 911 CALL: Police released the desperate 911 call made by Gary Coleman's wife. Meantime, there are questions as to whether she had the right to take him off life support. An attorney for the ‘Diff'rent Strokes’ star says Coleman and Shannon Price secretly divorced in 2008, but the hospital says Coleman had granted Price permission to make medical decisions on his behalf and that document stands despite marital status. Officials say Price called herself his wife at the hospital and during the frantic 911 call. Coleman died of a brain hemorrhage last Friday. He was 42 years old.
JACKSON MUSEUM PLANS: Gary, Indiana may soon be home to a museum celebrating Michael Jackson's life. Jackson's father, Joe, and the mayor of Gary, Rudy clay, announced a project to create a performing arts center and museum named for the ‘king of pop.’ The announcement comes nearly a year after Jackson's death. Clay said the project could bring hundreds of thousands of visitors to Gary. That could mean up to $150 million annually for the economically-depressed city. Gary was home to the Jackson family until they moved to California in 1971 with the success of the ‘Jackson Five.’
