MYFOXNY.COM - Medical headlines for Monday, April 5.

Text of Dr. Sapna Parikh's report:

BREAST FEEDING BENEFIT: A new study finds that if mothers breast feed for the first 6 months, the lives of almost 900 babies and $13 billions would be saved every year. The idea is that breast feeding helps babies to fight infections. It can also affect insulin levels and help to prevent diabetes and obesity. The researchers say that breast feeding should be a public health issue and not just a lifestyle choice.

PAINFUL TALK: Get ready to feel a little pain. This new study finds that just talking about pain actually triggers a pain response. The researchers say that hearing words like excruciating or grueling activates pain processing areas of the brain. They say doctors need to consider this when discussing pain with their patients.
