MYFOXNY.COM - Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy is considering a run for governor of New York. Levy told Good Day NY on Tuesday that he wants to save the state from "falling off a cliff."
"I've been on both the legislative side (as a state assemblyman) and I've acted as an executive in a time of crisis. I've shown I've got the backbone to do the types of reforms necessary," Levy told co-host Greg Kelly.
Levy says he'd put in place spending caps and would freeze property taxes if elected governor.
As to when he'd make a decision about a run, Levy says "within a few months."
