MYFOXNY.COM - U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand says "it's an extraordinary honor and privilege" to represent the Empire State in Washington.
The junior senator says despite a troubling economy she plans to run for reelection.
Sen. Gillibrand spoke with Good Day NY's Greg Kelly on Monday.
"There are so many urgent problems like unemployment," said Gillibrand.
As for critics who say she is politically vulnerable in a race against former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani and New York City Comptroller Bill Thompson, Gillibrand said: "I'm focused on how do we create jobs in the state... the politics will take care of themselves."
