City Council Stopping Hunger

MYFOXNY.COM - New York City Council Speaker Christine Quinn shared some positive news concerning the city's hungry with Good Day NY.

Quinn says through efforts by the council, half of all green markets are accepting food stamps.

More people in need are now able to afford quality foods.

'Thanks to the federal stimulus package, we have more money (for food assistance programs) ... there are no empty pantry shelves (this Thanksgiving.)"
