MYFOXNY.COM - Katie Meacham, 26, is in desperate need of a bone marrow transplant.

Be The Match and the New York Blood Center are sponsoring a bone marrow donor registry drive to help Meacham and other patients like her.

The drive takes place on Wednesday from 7:30 a.m.- 5 p.m., at Nike Communications, 75 Broad Street between Beaver and S. William Streets, 5th floor, Manhattan.

According to the NY Blood Center.org , each day about 3,000 patients worldwide with leukemia, aplastic anemia or other fatal blood diseases are searching for a life-saving bone marrow match.
