MYFOXNY.COM - Medical headlines for Tuesday, November 3.

Text of Dr. Sapna Parikh's report:

GROUND BEEF RECALL: Federal health official says two deaths and 26 other illnesses may be linked to recalled ground beef. Fairbank Farms in Ashville, New York voluntarily recalled more than 500,000 pounds of fresh ground beef for possible e-coli contamination. The recall affects seven states including New York and New Jersey. The specific ground beef was produced September 15 and 16.

DEPRESSION AND PROCESSED FOODS: A possible link between depression and eating processed food. That's what this new research out of the University College of London finds. They say they're the first to study this link. The researchers compared the diets of about 3,500 adults. They say those with a diet high in processed food had a 58-percent higher risk of depression 5 years later.
