MYFOXNY.COM - Independent candidate Chris Daggett may destroy former U.S. Attorney Chris Christie's bid to become New Jersey's next governor.
'The Daggett factor is key to the outcome," says Political Analyst Steve Adubato. "He could get five to eight percentage points."
Speaking with Good Day NY's Greg Kelly on Monday, Adubato said ten percentage points or more for Daggett gives the election to incumbent Governor Jon Corzine. "Protest votes for Daggett take away from Christie," said Adubato.
President Barack Obama hit the campaign trail over the weekend. He stumped for Corzine while Representative Joe Wilson of South Carolina campaigned for Christie. (Wilson yelled 'you lie" during President Obama's address to the Joint Session of Congress.)
Despite declining approval numbers for the President, Adubato says Obama is still very popular in urban areas of New Jersey. "Obama does help (Corzine's bid)," said Adubato.
