MYFOXNY.COM - Congressman Charles Rangel could end up leaving the House of Representatives under a cloud of controversy if he fails to win re-election next year.
His former campaign director and senior aide is banking on it.
Vincent Morgan says he's ready to take on the 79 year old who is under investigation for supposed ethics violations.
Speaking to Good Day NY's Greg Kelly on Thursday, Morgan said "I don't want to kick the man while he's down... but 40 years later, it's time to go."
Morgan compares his battle against the long-serving Congressman in a Democratic primary next year as a battle between "David and Goliath.. I am David."
Morgan, a graduate of Columbia University Graduate program, dismisses the belief that New York will miss out from the money the senior Representative is able to bring in as chairman of the Ways and Means Committee.
"I will bring the forces together," said Morgan.
