Wendy Diamond is a pet lifestyle expert. She has written the foreword for the new book "Chicken Soup for the Soul: What I Learned from the Dog," the latest addition to the bestselling collection of pet books from the Chicken Soup for the Soul series.
"Our dogs teach us so much about how to live our lives -- sometimes we just have to stop and listen," says Amy Newmark, Chicken Soup for the Soul publisher and co-author of the book. He co-authors are Jack Canfield and Mark Victor Hansen.
Wendy also comes to Good Day New York with some wonderful dogs in need of a home. These three pooches are available for adoption from the Humane Society:
The Humane Society of New York was founded in 1904 to protect the city's horses against abuse. Then as funds were raised, the society expanded to include a free medical clinic and a small adoption center for cats and dogs. Today, the hospital and the Vladimir Horowitz and Wanda Toscanini Horowitz Adoption Center help more than 30,000 dogs and cats annually.
