Broadway Barks

Actress Bernadette Peters is partnered with Broadway Barks, an annual pet adoption event.  Broadway Barks came about as a result of Peters' and Mary Tyler Moore's passion for animals.  It focuses on the plight of homeless animals and shelters and rescue groups working in New York.

Some of the other stars expected to take part include Ashanti, Michael Cerveris, John Glover, Angela Lansbury, Constantine Maroulis, David Hyde Pierce and John Tartaglia.

Last year's event attracted 7,000 people and ended with 125 adoptions.
