MYFOXNY.COM - You can point and click your way to a faster commute on several websites that offer accurate traffic and transit updates.

Tech Guru Brett Larson recommends some of his favorites.  Watch the video, left.

Once you're at the subway station, it's a little too late to know if there are delays on the trains.

Brett likes: CleverCommute.com for NJ Transit, Long Island Rail Road and Metro North commuters. The site receives and sends e-mails from users.

Also, on Brett's favorite's list: Twitter/com/NYCBridgereport.com

The Twitter feed is more for cyclists than pedestrians. It keeps you informed of biking conditions on bridges and streets around the five boroughs.

If you'd like to skip the web, the MTA can send you text and email alerts at MTA. info . You'll get everything from service advisories on delayed trains to weekend changes in the system that may affect your plans.
