Corona Playground

MYFOXNY.COM - The Trust For Public Land has opened aa playground for the largest public school in the country, P.S. 19 in Corona, Queens.

The playground includes a community garden, ampitheatre, track, multipurpose courts, with benches and painted games.

Some of the students helped to design the playground that they wanted built on the former parking lot.  The million dollar park took a year to build.

P.S. 19 has 1,900 students from kindergarten through the fifth grade.

The Trust For Public Land is a non-profit organization that builds and opens up playgrounds for undeserved schools across the country.
