MYFOXNY.COM - Big smiles and short dresses is a good way to describe the "MTA Service Specialists."
The group of ladies who wear 1940s style stewardess uniforms and encourage straphangers to smile and be nice to fellow riders isn't getting smiles back from the actual MTA.
The transit agency says they must stop wearing the official MTA logo.

Lawyers for the MTA have filed a cease-and-desist order against the group. They say the women are unfairly using the "intellectual property" of the agency.
MTA Statement:
"They should be thanking our legal department for free publicity. Yes, we have asked them to make some changes to their website, but we encourage everyone to be friendly on our trains and buses. If they're as good as they say, perhaps we should send them to Albany to help convince legislators to support the transit system."
The "MTA Specialists" say the agency's actions are "aggressive and intimidating."
The women say their goal is to partner with the MTA to get better service without raising fares.
The group wheels trolleys of snacks, tissues and other items into stations and trains. They give directions and make sure pregnant women have a seat on the train.
