'Dreamgirls' at the Apollo Theater

This year, the Apollo Theater is celebrating its 75th anniversary. And as part of the celebration, the New York landmark will launch the new national tour of Tony-winning musical "Dreamgirls." Fox 5's Anne Craig got a sneak peek from the three leading ladies.

"Dreamgirls" tells the rags-to riches story of an up and coming 1960s girls group, and the triumphs and tribulations that come with fame and fortune.

"Dreamgirls" is a major highlight of the Apollo Theater's 75th Anniversary and is directed and choreographed by Robert Longbottom with co-choreography by Shane Sparks, and is produced by John Breglio for Vienna Waits Productions.

"Dreamgirls" will introduce Moya Angela as Effie White and feature, as The Dreams, Syesha Mercado as Deena Jones, and Adrienne Warren as Lorrell Robinson. It's playing from Nov. 7 through Dec. 6, 2009.
