MYFOXNY.COM - Kathie Lee Gifford opens up about reinventing herself in her new book, "Just When I Thought I Had Dropped My Last Egg."

Watch the video for an interview with Kathie Lee Gifford on Good Day NY.

Gifford on her new book: Our culture basically says that once nature is finished with a woman, then life is finished with them which is ridiculous. I have no intention of hoisting my heinie on a gurney any time soon.

On Plastic Surgery: You do not want flounders on your lips. People lose connection with sanity and they do not look like themselves any more. They are not fooling anybody Something bothers you? Do something about it. It is the person that is never happy internally that goes from this, to this, to this. I took a very good look at my feet when I turned 54. I had the feet from hell, they were hooves.

I did not want my feet to the side of the rest of my life. They were deciding where I was going and how long i would be able to do things. I do not think that they should be making those decisions. Reach for the stars, but make sure your feet are up for that threat.

Gifford on her husband, Frank: He is amazing. He will be 79 soon. He still has the greatest tight end.

Gifford on working with Regis Philbin: Those 15 years with Regis were the best years in television. I could never go back to work with him, but we are still great pals. When NBC came to me, I was kicking and screaming. I loved Hoda. She seemed like a doll. They asked me what i was afraid of. The press? No, they said that I am afraid of waking up and regretting going to work. I was loving my riding so much. I thought that joy is not negotiable. I was too happy doing what I was doing.
