MYFOXNY - Former champion Maria Sharapova was bounced on the first day of play at the Australian Open. But instead of wondering what was wrong with her tennis game, people are doing more talking about her outfit.

This Slam was supposed to be Sharapova's big comeback. The Russian superstar, who has won three Grand Slam titles in her career, fell in a three-set marathon to fellow Russian Maria Kirilenko. It's the first time Sharapova has made a first round exit in a Slam since the 2003 French.

But Sharapova was the talk of the Open even before her upset loss. She debuted a new dress.  The internet was buzzing with negative and puzzled reviews of the unique look.
