Christine Persichette joined My9 News as a general assignment reporter in 2008 after serving as a freelance reporter with the station since 2003.
Prior to joining WWOR, Persichette was a reporter for News 12 Long Island. She began her broadcast career in Elmira, NY at ABC affiliate WENY. During her tenure, she was promoted from reporter to anchor and executive producer and was also named New York's "Young Careerist" by the Business and Professional Women Clubs. She went on to be named the national runner-up by the Business and Professional Women USA. In 2000, Persichette joined Fox 25, the Fox affiliate in Rochester, NY as a reporter and later become the station’s main anchor.
A graduate of the University of Albany with a Master’s degree from New York Institute of Technology on Long Island, Persichette was born and raised in Queens and now lives in Rockland County with her husband and son.
