MYFOXNY.COM - Lisa Murphy covers business news for Good Day New York and MyFoxNY.com. Murphy joined Fox 5 in 2007 from Wall Street, where she spent 15 years in derivatives trading and private banking. Her first-hand experience gives her a unique perspective as a reporter.

Murphy started her career working in mortgage backed securities at the former Citicorp Securities. She began in research but found herself most at home on the trading desk and within three years, she had responsibility for the trading of Citicorp's adjustable rate mortgage backed securities portfolio.

Murphy returned to school and in 1999 received her MBA from Columbia Business School. Upon graduation, she began working for JP Morgan where she spent time in credit derivatives and private banking.

Murphy also worked as Chief of Staff to the CEO of Citigroup's Global Wealth Management. The role allowed for an up-close perspective on the challenges of running one of the largest global banks in the world.

Murphy lives in New York with two children.
