MYFOXNY.COM - The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has set up DTV Mobile Clinics to help consumers prepare for the transition to digital television, which happens on June 12, 2009.
At these events, staff will give you information on the transition, help you apply online for converter box coupons, and show you how to hook up and operate converter boxes. If you are having trouble setting up your converter boxes, you can bring them to the clinic.
Staff can also answer questions about recent changes to the converter box coupon program, which is now accepting applications from consumers whose coupons expired without being redeemed. The program will accept coupon applications until July 31, 2009, if funds are available to fill those requests.
