Police tell local media outlets they learned about Levon Wameling's disappearance from an attorney for relatives. The lawyer said that 27-year-old Jevon Wameling told him he'd left his son on the front porch of his Utica home late on the night of May 29th and went around to unlock the back door. Police say Wameling said by the time he got into the house and opened the front door, the baby was gone.

(AP) - Governor Andrew Cuomo's plan to make state college campuses tax-free zones for new businesses is being generally praised by campus leaders, even as some faculty members worry it could tarnish the schools' academic reputations. ALBANY, N.Y. (AP) - New York conservation officials have established two new parking areas on recently purchased public land in the central Adirondacks, effectively opening more than a dozen miles of the upper Hudson River to canoeists.
